As a mother, business owner, and wife, the easiest thing to do each day is to quickly become overwhelmed. I want to ensure I fulfill my role in everything I do.

Yet I learned something long before having any of the roles I have now. And that is — it’s okay to drop the ball.

Some things don’t get done or fall through the cracks and I must be okay with that. I need to accept that when I close my eyes at night, I did my best and let everything else go.

It’s impossible to keep up, so I don’t expect to.

Between pumping sessions, household chores, and doing work I am passionate about, I have to remember to pause, feel grateful, and soak in my life.

I find it best to treat your life with kid gloves. Strive to be your greatest self, but graciously give yourself a pass when it’s utmost necessary.

Perfection is the enemy.
